Very nice hotel, close to the ocean in beautiful Old Skagen. Clean and comfortable. Excellent breakfast.
Our only complaint is that our room was very hot and had no air conditioner.

An exceptionally warm welcome already at reception. We got shown around and given recommendations for things to see in the village as well as told that we would get a spa treatment and gourmet dinner as part of the package. The main building is like a very relaxed and elegant private country house in design and feel. And all staff treated us like family guests. One of the better hotel experiences ever! Great! I will definitely be back!

The apartment had a charming atmosphere and the body scrub from the wellness package was a lovely surprise. Breakfast featured top-shelf options and regional jams. Limited dining reservations and long waits for tables were frustrating, especially when your reservation options felt restricted. Mountain bike rentals should be more flexible given the pricing.

Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. They all spoke very good English and really did their best to accommodate us with everything. Herr Jan, particularly. A very good restaurant and brasserie. Nearby in the town you can also eat very well. Kokkenes would get a high vote too.

pleasant stay with room for improvement
The wellness facilities was so nice with many options available until late. The staff was attentive, we had everything we needed during our time there. We particularly enjoyed the breakfast, where the a-la-carte options made our mornings more good. The restaurant offered a variety of delicious dishes, made dining in enjoyable.
The room decor felt slightly dated compared to the overall vibe of the hotel.

The breakfast buffet featured a solid variety, including freshly baked breads, cheeses, and perfectly prepared eggs Benedict. The renovated historic rooms boasted elegant Scandinavian decor, blending classic charm with modern comfort.
I booked a Double or Twin Room expecting a private balcony or sea view. Instead, the balcony faced the parking lot, with only a vague glimpse of the sea if you squinted between buildings. Insects were always buzzing around, and the shower door leaked, turning the bathroom into a wet area every time I needed to clean up. The dining experience was heavily marred when I received a duck salad mostly filled with hard organ meat, unappetizing at best. Lastly, the hotel's location can be a hassle for those without vehicles-exploration requires renting oversized bikes that aren't always available.

Location by the beach. Old-fashioned charm combined with luxury. Great food and friendly staff. We felt like we had been away for a week and not just one night.

Solo traveler paradise with a few hiccups
I experienced excellent service, like when the staff personally helped me find my room, which gave me a sense of ease. Plus, the breakfast spread was great, with fresh pastries and great coffee that really hit the spot.
It wasn't inexpensive, but I guess the value was still okay.
